Chip and I went to the Alaska Kennel Club's dog shows last weekend. On Saturday, Chip was Best of Opposite Sex. Thank you to judge Therea Hundt!
On Sunday, Chip was Select Dog, earning points toward his grand championship! Thank you judge Dawn Hansen!

Chip had his hips ad elbows evaluated by the OFA. His hips are rated at Good and his elbows are Normal. Chip is now available at stud to approved bitches!

At the Cook Inlet Kennel Club shows, Chip was Best fo Breed all three days! Thank you to judges James White, James Noe, and James Frederiksen! Chip has 19 points (out of 25) toward his Grand Championship!

Chip took me to the dog shows in Palmer this past weekend... He won Best of Breed on two out of the three days of shows! Thank you to judges Helen Lee James and Arlene Davis!We also did eye exams on Chip and Chase... everything is normal!

Chip went Best of Breed over three specials on Saturday, January 26th! The judge was James Frederiksen and he had very nice things to say about Chip!

On Sunday, March 25th, Chip was Winner's Dog and Best of Winners for 3 more points! Thank you to judge Dr. Robert Brown for this nice win!Chip now have 14 points and only needs 1 more to finish his AKC championship!

Chip's dam (and Max's littersister) won a 5 point major today in Arizona! This was all she needed to finish her championship! Congratulations to Mikaela and her owner June Scott!

Chip and I have returned from the National and I've posted some pictures.Chip didn't bring home any ribbons, but we were close and we had a wonderful time! Everyone was smitten with Chip. His fan club has grown considerably!

For the second time ever, I'm going to the SCA's annual National Specialty held this year in Post Falls, ID. The last time we attended a National, we took Max. He earned a third place ribbon in his class, beating his largest competition ever. Max's brother, Atigun, earned a first place ribbon and went on to compete for Winner's Dog. Chip is going this year. He's flying down with his co-owner, Gayl, on Sunday. I will be showing Chip in the Puppy Sweepstakes on Wednesday and in the regular classes on Thursday. Wish us luck!
In other news, I've posted Chip's latest show photo and a nice picture of Chase playing in the yard.

On Friday, Chip was Winners Dog/Best Of Winners for 1 point and Chase was Reserve Winners Dog. Our judge was Meredith Johnson-Snyder.Also, my friend's Golden Retriever finished on Friday by taking a Best Of Breed over specials, then earning a Group 3!
Saturday, Chip was WD for 2 points under judge Kay Reamensnyder. He now has 8 points with one major!
Sunday, Chase was Reserve Winners Dog under judge Geraldine Taylor.
Now we can relax until next year!

This time last year, we were celebrating Max's championship...This year, we are celebrating Chip's first points! On Sunday, under judge Dorothy Hutchinson, Chip was Winners Dog for his very first 3 point major! On Monday, under judge Pat Hastings, Chip was Best of Winners for 2 more points! Chase was no slacker, either, earning Reserve Winners Dog on Monday!
Chip was expertly handled by my friend Mary, and I handled Chase.

We have added another member to our pack! His name is Chip (White Spirit's Aurora Blue Chip) and I've posted some photos of him. Watch next week for more information!
