Max is our first Samoyed and our first champion. He was whelped on August 29, 2002. His sire is BIS Am/Can Ch. Wolf River's Iron Will and his dam is Ch. Orkdomain's Calico and Tweed CGC. Max is co-owned with one of his breeders, Gayl Jokiel.
Max has a personality that makes him eager to please. Especially if he thinks it will get him some treats! When we are in the kitchen, he'll offer a behavior, then look at the treat jar on the counter. He knows that when he does what he's supposed to that he'll be rewarded for it! He does the same with a tennis ball in the yard. He'll look at the Chuck-It hanging on the nail, then at you, then at the Chuck-It, then back to you... until you grab it or tell him that you'll play later.
Max enjoys hiking, camping, pulling (harness work), and playing in the snow. His favorite winter game is dodging shovels of snow while we are clearing the deck and walkways. He'll bark until you try to dump snow on him, then he'll dance out of the way. And he'll continue until you are tired...
Max has moved to Georgia to live with Elyssa Williams and her husband. Max is learning how to be an obedience dog and will add some agility to his training, too! We are very sad that he is gone, but are thrilled for his new home...
