This weekend, Chase finished his championship under judge Kimberly Meredith-Cavanna on Sunday. He's been racking up the single points, but really just needed a major to finish. Not content to just get the major and be done with it, Chase went on to take BOB! We had a great time in the group ring, but were not considered for a placement.

Chase was Winner's Dog and Best of Opposite Sex on Saturday and Sunday under judges John Wade and Judith Goodin.

Chase just needs a major to finish...

Unfortunately, we were unable to attend the 2008 SCA National Specialty in Tokepa, KS this year... but news from the people who were there is that Chase's dam, Wolf River's Moonrise, won her veterans class, the working bitch class, and earned an Award of merit!

Congratulations to Moonrise and her breeder/owner, Kay!

Chase had a great weekend at the dog shows, earning two more points toward his championship. On Saturday, he was Winner's Dog under judge Mrs. Pat Hastings. On Sunday, he was Winner's Dog and Best of Winners under visiting Canadian judge Charles Betts. Chase now has 12 points and just needs a major to earn his championship.

In related news, Chip uncle (and Max's brother), Atigun, won BEST IN SHOW on Saturday! Atigun beat 540 other dogs for that very special BIS!

Over the Memorial Day weekend, we went to Fairbanks for the Tanana Valley Kennel Club shows. Chase was Winner's Dog all three days for three more points. Chase now has 10 points!

On Monday, Chip was Best of Breed and went on to earn a Group 3 ribbon! The judge was Annella Cooper. It's our first group placement and we had a wonderful time!
